At the 2024 Clean Water Showcase, a research team from Dr Jin’s group presented two posters on innovative water treatment solutions:

Sohail (PhD student), Yuanchun (PSM student), and Madalyn (undergraduate) presented on "Wildfire Impacts on Membrane-Based Drinking Water Treatment."

Dakota (undergraduate) presented on "Chitosan as an Alternative Coagulant in Low-Pressure Membrane Filtration during Harmful Algal Bloom."

Dr. Jin's Group Secures $15,000 OSU Accelerator Funding to Advance Membrane Technology for Commercialization.

Congrats to Quang for his publication in Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering! He developed novel hybrid ED-FO technology aims to enhance waste management ( https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S2213343724002215).

Aug 2023, Dr. Jin group received funding ($278,156) from the USDA Forest Service (PI: Kevin Bladon) to study the impact of wildfire on drinking water quality and treatment.

Feb. 2023

Dr. Jin group received Agriculture Research Foundation’s Funding ($15,000) to develop ion-exchange membrane for selective recovery of nutrient ions from waste.

Jan. 2023

Dr. Jin group received funding ($749,977) from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s Agriculture and Food Research Initiative Competitive Grant to support the proposed research on Nutrients and Clean Water Recovery from Waste for Sustainable Food Production.

Jan. 2023

Dr. Jin group received Oregon Dairy Farmers Association (ODFA)’s Funding ($26,000) for developing membrane technology for manure management and nutrient recovery.
